The National Service Scheme was started by Government of India, Ministry of
Education and Culture, Govt. of India, in Collaboration with State Government in the year 1969 in 37 selected Universities. The aim of NSS is to give an extension dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institution. The Motto of NSS ‘Not me, but you’ reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the needs for selfless service and appreciation of other person’s point of view and to show consideration for fellow human beings. The aim of NSS unit of our college is to demonstrate the motto in all its activities. The college has two NSS units 49 A and B with 100 volunteers.
