Health and Sports Club

The sports club is committed to provide a healthy sporting habit among the students. It helps to learn teamwork at work, coordination among diverse cultural and ethnic groups and mainly infuses discipline and instills the value system in one individual. Value of time, precision and competitiveness are the major learning points apart from communication, coordination and teamwork.  The main objectives to Health and Sports Club of Sree Narayana College Chengannur is to encourage and motivate students to involve in various sports activities at both inter and intra college level. Sports club also promotes the mass participation of students and teachers in yoga. Students who stay at hostel can use this facility even after college hours. An introductory session was conducted in every academic year to make students aware about the fitness. In this session fitness exercises along with the use of fitness machine will be trained. Sports club also provides the facility to use fitness centre. Fitness centre is open for all the students from 9 am to 5.00 pm. Sports club also encourages teaching and non teaching staffs of the college to use health centre.
Nature of activities under Sports Club

?    To provide leadership experiences for the students at State & National Level      Competitions.
?    To provide recreational opportunities for the students and retain their interest towards sports.
?    To conduct sports and games much effectively in an organized manner

Health Club is an association of students in college for taking care of everything that is necessary for keeping an individual healthy. Health club deals with activities for the students to possess good overall health which includes mental health, Physical Health, Emotional Health, and Social health. The vision is to develop sensitivity among students in particular and the community in general regarding health and nutrition, awareness and maintenance of a healthy life style. As one of its programmes and activities aimed to this effect, it has been conducting aerobic exercises for the students and teachers.
